Larkspur

Larkspur (Delphinium) is a member of the buttercup family, which contains about 300 herbaceous flowering plants. The majority of the species are native to the Northern Hemisphere. Larkspur is found throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. It is a tall plant that can grow up to six feet in height. The flowers are blue, purple, pink, or white and are borne on long, slender stalks.

Lavender

Lavender (Lavandula) is a flowering plant in the mint family, Lamiaceae. It is native to the Old World and is found in Cape Verde and the Canary Islands, and from southern Europe to northeast Africa and southwest Asia.

Lilac

The scientific name for lilac is Syringa vulgaris. This shrub is part of the olive family and is native to woodlands, scrub, and hedgerows of central and southern Europe. It was brought to North America in the 1700s. now lilacs are a common sight in gardens all over the world.

Lilacs are grown for their showy spring flowers which come in shades of purple, pink, blue, and white. They have a sweet fragrance that is often used in perfumes and soaps. blooms appear on last year’s wood, so it is important to prune lilacs immediately after flowering to encourage lots of new growth.

Lilies are one of the most popular flowers in the world, and they come in a wide range of colors, including white, yellow, pink, red, and purple. There are many different species of lily, but the most common type is the Asiatic lily. These beautiful flowers are native to Asia and have been cultivated for thousands of years. Asiatic lilies are typically easy to grow and make excellent cut flowers.

Lobelia

Lobelia (/loʊˈbiːliə, -ˈbiːljə/) is a genus of flowering plants comprising 415 species, with a subcosmopolitan distribution throughout the temperate and tropical regions of the world, absent only from polar areas.

Lobelia species are annual, biennial, or perennial herbs, erect or scrambling shrubs, or climbers with simple leaves arranged along the stems and showy two-lipped flowers. The fruit is a capsule containing numerous tiny seeds. Many species are cultivated as ornamentals for their attractive flowers. Some species are weedy or invasive where introduced.
